PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Allied Work Force provides crew with a range of safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) for use on assignment.
PPE is reviewed regularly for its quality, durability, comfort, worker appeal and its suitability for the job.
Allied Work Force does not make any profit from the use of, or sale of, any gear or equipment that is health or safety related. This meanS that if crew choose to buy their own PPE through AWF, they can purchase quality goods at reduced prices.

HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
The large number of job sites, assignments and duties involved in labour-hire means that it is a high risk business and because of this, Allied Work Force has introduced specific procedures to allow for accurate and essential hazard identification.
Allied Work Force believes that most workplaces have hazards. As a result, the hazards are recorded for every job and additional questions asked of the customer, in order to adequately understand the assignment and work environment.
If a client refuses to identify site hazards or take the questions seriously, then the order is passed on to a member of the senior management team to follow up before assigning workers to the site.
Crew are actively encouraged to report any new hazards or changes to their work environment, so the necessary precautions, training and supply of PPE can be addressed.
ON-HIRE INDUSTRY H&S FORUM
Allied Work Force is involved in a number of industry forums and advisory groups, having been a driving force in the National On-Hire H&S Forum.
0800 LABOUR
One of the main benefits of having an 0800 number for Allied Work Force is that crew can call free with any H&S concerns from any site, anywhere in the country. This is particularly helpful for crew using prepaid mobile phones, public phone boxes or another company's business line.
All crew are issued with a 'crew card' with the 0800 number and the company H&S catch phrase
"If in doubt, give a shout".
Crew are encouraged to call with any concerns and can do so without fear of reprisal or loss of wages.
